To mark Jørgen Leth's Æresløb 2024, Aarhus Cyklebane and Cikkel Copenhagen present a very special collaboration and design. The motif is the iconic velodrome where Jørgen Leth found the lifelong love of cycling that has shaped his career and inspired the rest of us.

No one puts it better than the legend himself, who states:

"The track that I have loved and seen so many fantastic races…Everything I have made since about bike racing, it originates here. Right here!"

Poem by Bastian Emil for Jørgen Leth's Æresløb

We asked cycling and Jørgen Leth fans to put into words what Leth has meant to them. We gave all the warm words to author Bastian Emil Goldschmidt, who turned the many words into a respectful tribute that was read aloud at the Æresløb. The poem is printed in the center of the poster.
